mtkbabel software package provides Tool for managing i-Blue 747 and compatible GPS data loggers, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install mtkbabel
mtkbabel is installed in your system.
Make ensure the mtkbabel package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep mtkbabel *
You will get with mtkbabel package name, version, architecture and description in a table
